Finnish builder Axopar has expanded its 22’ (6.71 m) series with the 22 T-Top. She comes standard with a T-Top on an aluminum frame while the 22 Spyder has a more open configuration. She’s powered by a single outboard engine up to 200 hp and Axopar’s modular construction approach lets an owner customize the interior. For example, the 22 T-Top comes standard with a bench across the stern that can be upgraded to a horseshoe-shaped lounge around a table that can be lowered to create a sunpad. More...
We have not tested the Beneteau Grand Trawler 62, so we cannot speak to her handling characteristics and fuel consumption, but we have been aboard her, so we can report on what we saw. As the image above demonstrates, the Grand Trawler 62 makes an excellent platform for watersports and has the distinction of having an open stern providing easy access to the optional hydraulic bathing platform. She has a 17’9” (5.41 m) beam that is wider than we would see in many European cruisers. That pays off in on-deck and interior square footage. Below, her master and VIP cabins are large and all three have en suite heads. To see her price, click here...

Huckins owner Cindy Purcell will be on hand at the Palm Beach show from March 24-27, but it’s best to make an appointment – 904-389-1125.
Pembroke Huckins broke the code on bottom design in the 1930s with his “Quadraconic” hull, which was licensed to Elco and Higgins. All three companies built PT boats during WWII. Huckins built 18 of them, one of which was PT-101, commanded by John F. Kennedy when he was a torpedo boat trainer on Narragansett Bay. The Huckins yard in Jacksonville, FL, is still going strong, overseen today by Pembroke’s granddaughter, Cindy and her husband Buddy Purcell. See the Huckins 38, a little bit of history and Cindy and Buddy at Booth 935 IW. More...
The new version of Ferretti’s 780 made her debut at Cannes last September.
When Ferretti Group’s Cattolica shipyard on Italy’s Adriatic coast launched its first yacht of 2022, it was notable that it was a Ferretti Yachts 780 – hull number 36, no less. Sales of the 78’9” (24 m) model are already in the mid-40s, we're told, which shows consistent demand for a model that is exactly in the middle of the Ferretti line that stretches from 50’ to 100’ (15.24 m to 30.48 m). Her 19’ (5.8 m) beam is generous and that contributes to her attractiveness along with her clean lines, which should stay in style for some time. More...
