Steve Test, Inspect and Evaluate The Kadey-Krogen 58 EB — for “Extended Bridge” — is a trans-oceanic yacht that’s easily managed by two people. Our test boat was powered by twin 160-hp John Deere engines. In addition to the test by Capt. Steve, BoatTEST founder Jeff Hammond has cruised with his family on a near sistership. She was an older model that did not have the extended bridge, but was otherwise mostly the same. It is not often that we get an opportunity to spend extended time using a boat where and how it was intended to work, so this report is particularly informative.
