Offshore Yachts’ new CE Series is a line of semi-custom cruising motoryachts that the company expects will have a broader market reach while maintaining the Offshore Yachts DNA of ride comfort, safety and reliability. The series consists of two models, the Explorer and Cruising in 65’ (19.81 m), 68’ (20.73 m) and 72’ (21.95 m) lengths, the latter being an Aft Cockpit version of the 65. They are built on a semi-custom basis as coastal cruisers and the three length choices are available in Explorer and Cruising models with a choice of Contemporary or Classic interior designs. More...
The Formula 430 All Sport Crossover (ASC) is a 43’ (13.1 m) long boat that has a dry weight of 28,000 lbs. (12,701 kg). The largest available engines when we tested her were quad 2.6-liter V6 400-hp Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboards. For the current model year, an owner can upgrade to quad Mercury Racing 450Rs that provide an extra 200 hp total, but more important is that the bigger engines are built on a 4.6-liter V8 that is also supercharged. A V8 has more torque and that should shorten the time to plane and provide more kick when maneuvering around the docks. On the other hand, we recorded 64.2 mph at 7000 RPM with the 400s. So, buyers must decide if the extra horsepower is worth the added expense. More...

The Sundancer 320 can serve as a weekender with sleeping space for four, but her primary mission is as a day boat with a spacious bow, cockpit refreshment center and a large swim platform. Owners can choose outboard or sterndrive power. More...

Others say the reason is more mechanical and to find out what that is, click here...
