Technology Can Protect Whales and Recreational Boating
MARINE MAMMALS. NOAA has proposed draconian rules to protect right whales along the Atlantic Coast, including massive slow-speed zones that would all but end offshore recreational fishing and fast yacht passage. Technology already available can keep whales safe — and keep the boating industry functional, says the American Sportfishing Association.
BOAT BUYING. Boat shows are busy and sometimes hectic, but if you know what to look for and find the right dealer, you might come home with a good buy on a new boat.
