The main salon of the 35R is breathtaking because of its 25'1" (7.64 m) beam and 7'1" (2.15 m) of headroom. A soffit within a soffit overhead treatment, both with indirect lighting, add to the effect.
The Ocean Alexander 35R is like a floating Manhattan triplex with three outdoor terraces overlooking Central Park. But there is one big difference – the 35R is a moveable feast. Ready for a new view? The penthouse and staff are ready, too – Portofino, Cannes, Puerto Cervo or Santorini. In all cases, the best views are from the 35R – a living diorama of the town and seascape. Let's peek inside...
Pursuit will have one of the largest exhibits of any brand at the Palm Beach Boat Show – March 24-27. The OS 385 Offshore seen above has just been superseded by the new 445 that will be on display in Booth 808 A. We suggest you check out both of them because they are fine representatives of the express fishboat class, which is seeing a resurgence of interest as owners move down from the goldplaters. More...
Cruisers Yachts 50 Cantius offers more flexibility than one might expect from an express-style boat. The grill is on the transom, where there’s storage for bulky items in a trunk locker. The galley is positioned aft to serve indoor and outdoor guests. Belowdecks, she can have two or three cabins. She is all the yacht that most people really need. More...
Sea-Doo’s RXP-X is a fast 10’11” (3.32 m) long personal watercraft powered by a 300-hp engine that makes her an adrenalized machine. She’s designed to be ridden aggressively and is equipped accordingly. A padded flare just above the rider’s knees lets him/her grip the saddle with his/her legs. The seat has a tackier feel and the back is adjustable in six positions to accommodate riders ranging from 5’2” (1.57 m) to 6’2” (1.87 m). The low-profile handlebars are adjustable as well. More...
Regal Marine was an early adopter when it came to putting outboards on a mid-sized cruising yacht with the 33 XO. Taking the engines out of the boat and under the cockpit opened up space for a generator, air conditioning units and other experience-enhancing equipment like water toys. Additionally, because they can be trimmed higher, outboards give the boat the ability to explore backwaters and out-of-the-way coves. Swim platforms extend past the outboards on each side, adding to the utility. More...
With sales progressing at a furious pace for the past two years, it only stands to reason that buyers are encountering the boat for sale by owner (FSBO) more than ever. Selling a vessel without using a broker can be attractive for one obvious reason. The seller avoids a potentially hefty commission fee. Who could be disparaged for attempting to save money? However, as is often the case, it’s not as simple as it may seem. More...
Every year about this time, boaters across the country start to get the itch. The days get a little longer and a little warmer. It just seems natural to grab the toolbox and the wash bucket and head for the boat. Most of us head for the transom to give the outboard or sterndrive a little attention. It’s also a good idea to take a closer look at the hydraulic steering system, too. More...
At last summer’s e-regatta in Venice, which featured boats powered by electric engines, one of the big winners was E'dyn 5.2, a boat powered by an E’dyn 1120 electric outboard. E’dyn is an abbreviation of “electric dynamic nautics.” The company is a brand of the Podkrižnik family company that has been developing alternative power systems for various industries around the world for its headquarters in northern Slovenia.
