We haven’t heard of a fiberglass powerboat’s hull delaminating in decades, so boat buyers need not worry about that. But what we have seen are hulls flexing when abused. With time, that flexing can delaminate bulkheads or other structures that have been tabbed into the hull. With a proper stringer system, that won’t happen. Boat buyers have to rely on the builder's reputation. For example, Formula has a reputation that's second to none when it comes to a lot of things, including the strength of stringers.
