Silent Yachts 60
Transatlantic Electric Cat
The Silent 60 is the first electric-propulsion yacht to have made a Transatlantic crossing. She’s a beamy catamaran with nearly unlimited range thanks to her combination of 42 solar panels working with diesel generators to drive her electric propulsion motors. She cruises at up to 9 knots and has a top speed of 20 knots. See Capt. Steve’s first look at this pioneering yacht here...

Skayr Yachts is a new Dutch company that is planning on having its first 40’ (12.19 m) boat at the Cannes boat show next September. Turkey is a popular place to build these days because of its skilled craftsmen and the competitive labor rate. Obviously, this boat is not for everyone and that’s what the company’s founders are banking on. More...
The Fountaine-Pajot Power 67 is a 64’6” (19.69 m) long power catamaran with an impressive 32’3” (9.84 m) beam. A buyer can choose between two layouts, one that puts the galley on the lower level with the owner’s stateroom and three cabins, another that brings the galley up to the main deck and adds another cabin below. The foredeck takes advantage of the broad beam with a seating area, table and sunlounge to starboard and a hot tub to port. More...
