For example, at 3500 RPM, the Sharrow prop (in blue) advances 14.15” (35.9 cm) per revolution compared to 8.61” (21.86 cm) for the conventional prop. The Sharrow prop is more efficient and has a greater range at cruising speeds. There are four primary modes, Drive, Surf, Wake and Ski and within a profile, additional adjustments can be made, including selecting left or right. The jar at the left has gasoline at the top and ethanol and water mixed at the bottom. One of several problems with ethanol in the fuel is something called “phase separation.” This is when condensation in the tank attaches itself to the alcohol molecules at the bottom. This cocktail of ethanol and water has lower octane. If the water comes into contact with metal and oxygen it can cause oxidation and corrosion of the metal. More...
