The reverse design of the tubes indicates an aggressive high-performance character that's not possible with more conventional RIB designs with large inflatable tubes just above the water and only a fiberglass bottom. She has three steps and three spray rails and is intended for high-speed and agile, dry maneuvering. More...

Skayr Yachts
Premium Hotel Suite Afloat
Skayr Yachts is a new Dutch company that is planning on having its first 40’ (12.19 m) boat at the Cannes boat show next September. The CAD image of a 50’ (15.24 m) model, seen above, is hoped to be at the Fort Lauderdale show later this year. Three things caught our attention about this future boat: 1) The concept is to make just one cabin below to be like a luxury hotel suite for a couple; 2) she’ll be made of aluminum; 3) in Turkey in a free zone. Turkey is a popular place to build these days because of its skilled craftsmen and the competitive labor rate. Obviously, this boat is not for everyone and that’s what the company’s founders are banking on. More...

Joystick controls with GPS linking can offer a tech-driven way for an outboard-powered boat to stay on top of that spot without ground tackle. Check out some of the reasons you might want this system on your boat. More...

Sovereign Boat Club’s latest addition to its growing fleet is an Everglades 235CC. This is a fisherman’s dream, but also a good boat for family outings. All of SBC’s vessels are permitted to go up to 50 miles offshore, which means she can get to the grouper and red snapper fishing grounds. Best of all, she has the lowest annual dues of any boat in the SBC fleet — and is based in Tampa Bay ready for action. More...
