Over the years, most of these markers were put in place for a reason - to help keep boats off the rocks! New England - from New York to Maine - is famous for its rocky sea bottoms, yet that’s exactly where the USCG is yanking out the buoys. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE Take a look at the two props above. It is quite obvious why the Shorrow prop (r) grips the water better that the three blades on the conventional prop (l). "Grip" means: "take and keep a firm hold of; grasp tightly." The conventional prop design can't do that as can be plainly seen above.
