CAN YOU TOP THAT? The designers at Galeon Yachts have once again thrown down the gauntlet to the boating industry, this time with starboard side double wings, and a port side door from the master to a portside terrace. This new yacht, along with the new 520 FLY (U.S. debut), will be at Collins Ave., at this year’s Miami Int. Boat Show, FEB. 11-15.
SPACE WITH PURPOSE Developed in collaboration with designer Jozeph Forakis, the CLX99 builds on the CLX96 with more interior flexibility and expanded outdoor areas. An extended Sky Lounge, aft sea terrace formed by folding bulwarks, and accommodation for guests and crew support a wide range of cruising plans. The result is a large yacht that prioritizes how space is actually used aboard.

These are the quiet, unglamorous jobs that prevent breakdowns once the season starts.
CONFIDENCE MEETS PHYSICS Expensive mistakes don’t always start big. This latest Boneheaded Boaters roundup features launches that unravel quickly, jet skis testing their luck, boats riding wakes they probably shouldn’t, and a reminder that tow coverage costs far less than salvage.
