Hello Boater

CL Yachts CLB65

Which is Best: The CLB65 or CLB72?

CLB65

TWO GOOD OPTIONS In BoatTEST trials, the CLB65 reached 28.1 mph with twin 800-hp Volvo Penta D13 IPS1050 pod drives, and we consider her the best 65' flushdeck motoryacht on the market. That's why we were surprised to hear at the Palm Beach Boat Show that the CLB72 actually outsells the smaller yacht. To find out why, compare both boats to find the better value for you.

IT WAS ANNOUNCED yesterday that the Ford Motor Company and Sharrow Marine are now jointly making Sharrow props.  This collaboration will greatly shorten the time from ordering to delivery to less than two weeks.  "This is a game-changing breakthrough," said CEO Greg Sharrow, "because foundry casting has been one of our greatest challenges." Sharrow's backlog of orders is now being cleared, and Spring orders will be promptly filled, Sharrow says. Sharrow prop designs are now being used in military, drones, commercial, and other applications.

BOWRIDER WITH BITE Formula’s 310 Bowrider carries the builder’s offshore racing background into a 31-footer with a 22-degree deep-V hull and the FAS³TECH running surface. In BoatTEST trials with twin 350-hp Mercury Verados she reached 49 mph and planed in 4.7 seconds. The Armstrong bracket frees up the stern, port and starboard, allowing water access from a large swim platform.

World Cat 265DC-X (2026)

SHALLOW-WATER CAT At 14" draft and a 9' beam, the 265DC-X reaches sandbars and shallow inlets that would thwart most single-hull boats. World Cat's Vectorflo twin hulls stay flat in a chop and plane fast. The starboard console has a private head and changing room, and the aft bench folds away into a flush casting deck.

KILL SWITCH? A jet skier got tossed and watched his ski circle him because he skipped the kill switch lanyard. A crew at Hillsboro hit the rocks that already had a boat on them. And somewhere in the Bahamas, a boat untied itself at lunch. These boaters weren't having their best day.
