TEST & FEATURES VIDEO. The SR28 CC is Windy’s smallest single outboard dayboat, but she has the same seakindly design and level of fit and finish as the larger models. Her relatively narrow 8’2” (2.49 m) beam and 20-degree deadrise deliver an easy ride and she fits space for a couple to weekend into the console.

The aft entertainment area expands with fold-out balconies and large hullside windows bring plenty of light below. She delivers a sporty ride — 52.6 MPH WOT in our tests with triple Mercury Verado outboards.

She includes a standard hardtop, full-height tempered glass windshield with “wings”, slide out cooler tray and family friendly options like the bow ladder and cockpit Bimini.
PRE-OWNED YACHT. This clean Michael Peters has a sharp entry with a large bow flare for a soft, dry ride. Her wide beam, shallow draft and partial keel make for a stable comfortable ride in both beam and following seas. She’s powered by two Volvo D11s with straight shaft drive. Electronics include three Garmin 8617 MFDs, radar, Seakeeper, Starlink and FLIR.
FOILING AROUND. Race #4 of the Louis Vuitton Cup was exciting thanks to the remarkable graphics and data on the TV screen. At right are the Italians traveling at 48.3 knots with a VMG (Velocity Made Good to windward) of 43.7 knots — and they are 144 meters ahead of the British who did not rule the waves on this day. Even if you're not a blow-boater, we recommend watching this video for the sheer magic of the screen graphics that make very clear what is happening on the course.
